I really enjoying contouring but I have not found the right brush for the perfect application. The brush that came with the Smashbox contour palette is a good shape but I wish the bristles were firmer. I have a kabuki brush that I squeeze to be flatter and that works ok but I want an angled contour brush with firm bristles. I have found a great contour brush in the Real Techniques by Sam and Nic Chapman Sculpting brush. The brush has a nice long handle and a flat bottom so it can stand up on a flat surface. The brush has angled bristles and is almost flat. The bristles are firm but not too firm so it can grab a nice amount of product and not create a really harsh line. This brush is great at blending so there will never be harsh lines on your cheeks. The bristles go from white to black and the white bristles pick up the color of whatever powder you use but will come out when washed. This brush really is the perfect angle and firmness for applying a contour color to your cheeks. The bristles are soft and feel like a high end brush. This brush was only $9.99 and it is a high quality brush that I would 100% recommend! You can also use this brush to apply foundation, making it an ever better value.
