Recently I’ve been going to job interviews/professional events and I always grab Urban Decay’s Naked Basics palette when I want a natural look appropriate for work. I’ve never been into natural eye shadows but it’s always good to have natural shades for a more professional look or for those days you just want a more natural look. When I first saw swatches for this palette I didn’t really like it since the colors seemed so similar but when I saw the different looks possible with this palette I decided to buy it! This has become one of my favorite palettes and I will definitely be using it a lot this Fall! The great thing about this palette is that it’s small and perfect for travel and at the same time contains 6 full sized eye shadows! The palette packaging is really velvety soft, almost like a NARS compact. The eye shadows are buttery smooth and are so smooth that excess powder can be created when you try to get some of the color on the brush. All of these shades are matte except for Venus which has a sheen to it but there is never any fallout. I really love this palette but if you already a lot of other neutral palettes you might want to skip this one. I think this palette would be good for anyone who is new to neutral shades, needs basic colors for work or school, or is always on the go since this is such a travel friendly palette. You can buy this palette at Beauty.com – you get free shipping when you spend $35 or more!
