After trying the Tarte Maracuja Oil and having some good results, I was really excited to try another face oil. One day Sephora was having a sale and with any $25 purchase you could get a sample of the Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Active Brightening Oil so of course I had to do a little beauty shopping! Thankfully I have Sephora FLASH and I don’t need to reach the $50 minimum to get free shipping so this deal worked out nicely for me. This Korres sample is bigger than I though which is nice and since you only need a few drops for each use, it will last a long time. The oil has rose petals at the bottom of the bottle and has a beautiful rosy scent. When comparing the Maracuja Oil with the Wild Rose Oil, the rose oil is thinner and runs when you put it in your hand. The thinner consistency of the oil makes it so you have to apply the oil quickly or it could run through your fingers. When applying just this oil on my face at night, it doesn’t seem super moisturizing like the Maracuja Oil. According to the box, for maximum benefits you should apply this oil with a Wild Rose moisturizer. Some nights I will apply the Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing and Brightening Cream (review coming soon!) and then follow it with the Wild Rose Oil and I feel more moisturized. Without using the Wild Rose moisturizer, the oil doesn’t have amazing effects. I would like to see more my skin more moisturized with just the oil on it’s own. I probably will not repurchase this oil again.

I love oils and I use them regularly and I have read many reviews about this one. I love Korres in general but this product has mixed reviews and many girls have stated that they have seen none effect in their face when using it. I love the packaging and the bottle but I decided not to try it. My favourite product from Korres is their after sun with yoghurt, amazing product!

That really is a nice size sample! I received a sample of the Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial a few months back. It was pretty strong. I’ll probably give it another go because it sounds like a wonderful product. I just wish the scent wasn’t so strong. Does the oil contain a strong perfume scent too?
I’ll have to look into that one! Yes, the oil has a strong scent of rose but quickly dissipates.
Earlier this year I tried the Korres Nourishing Hand Cream with Almond Oil and Shea Butter that I liked moderately well, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the perfume-y scent. The packaging for this oil is beautiful, but I’m not sure if I would purchase it myself for the reasons you and others have stated already.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything from Korres… That’s too bad this oil didn’t have the effects you were hoping for!
