Kat Von D: Chrysalis Palette Review and Swatches

Posted on September 7, 2014 by Natalye Pronio Posted in Eye Shadow Palette, Kat Von D, Summer 2014 .

The Kat Von D Chrysalis palette is the sister palette to the Monarch palette and I couldn’t just split up the palettes so I have them both hehe J. I’m really fond of purple and grays and thought this palette was really beautiful. Although this palette came out as a part of Kat Von D’s Summer collection, I think this palette definitely works for the Fall. All the shades are really buttery and smooth with amazing pigmentation. The mattes were a little powdery but if you tap your brush before applying they work best. The shimmery shades have minimal fallout and apply evenly. A shade that I was really excited to use was the blue shade named Entombed. In my case I found that you had to build up Entombed to get the same pigmentation you see in the pan. The palette contains a good mix of cool neutrals so you can use these shades in a more professional setting. I really like this palette because the shadows are large and the quality is great.

I love Kat Von D’s make up! I swear by her tattoo eyeliner–it’s amazing! This palette is super gorgeous, I heard that purple is the one color that is universally flattering on everyone.

I’ve never tried KvD eyeshadows before! I’ve heard so much good things about them. Thanks for reviewing this palette because you just pushed me one step closer to purchasing them. LOL. Entombed is exactly my kind of blue. I don’t mind about sheerer pigmentation as long as it’s buildable! 🙂
