I’m headed to Universal Studios today and since I’m wearing shorts I figured I would try out Tarte’s Maracuja Rainforest Glow. Maracuja Rainforest Glow is described as an “instant matte waterproof body perfector” and can be washed off with soap and water. Since this is supposed to be waterproof it’s surprising it comes off with soap and water so I had my doubts about the waterproof claim. The product looks dark but when you put it on it gives you a perfect tan. You have to wait at least 30 seconds before putting your clothes on but I found you have to wait at least a few minutes. Before putting my shorts on I wanted to make sure it was dry so I got a tissue and gently swiped it over my leg and it picked up some of the color so I was afraid of sitting on the couch or anything like that. I put my shorts on and the color never transferred but if it did I’m sure it would come off in the wash since it comes off with soap and water. I really love that the tan color is instant and you don’t have to wait for it to build. I also love that this is matte! I had to apply sunscreen on top of the Maracuja Rainforest Glow since it doesn’t have SPF in it. The sunscreen made the color a little lighter and sort of shifted it around but it was easy to even out by just rubbing it around. To test the waterproof claim I wore Maracuja Rainforest Glow on the Jurassic Park River Adventure! I didn’t get soaked but my legs did get wet and the color stayed :). I’m really the color stayed all day and it was super easy to take off. After taking the Maracuja Rainforest Glow off your skin stays nice and soft. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that wants to experiment with a tanner because it’s really easy to use, doesn’t look orange, and is washable. It’s really fun to try out in the summer but can still be used year round if you use small amounts.
Have you ever tried Maracuja Rainforest Glow? Do you like to use tanners in the summer? Comment below!
P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I just started working and have been busy but I’ll write whenever I can!
