Want a fun summer inspired palette with pops of color mixed in with neutrals? Try the Too Faced Summer Eye palette! I have the 2012 version of the palette but this summer they updated it! One of the most notable differences is that the 2012 palette is made of cardboard and the 2013 palette is made of tin. Another difference is that Sugar Sand – a frosty light pink shade – was replaced by Seashell – a matte peachy pink shade. This has been one of my favorite palettes since last summer. Since the palette contains neutral shades I like wearing colors from this palette any time of year! The pops of color in this palette can brighten up your look even on the dreariest of days (or in my case on a foggy summer day in the Bay Area)! All of the colors have great pigment and are all soft with exception for the glittery shades that feel a little gritty when you touch them. The glittery shades do tend to have fallout but if you place of the instructional cards under your eye the glitter will land on the card instead of on your face. I really like that the palette comes with instructional cards to give you ideas on how to use the shades in the palette. All of the colors are very usable and is a good way of introducing hints of color to your eye looks. I highly recommend this palette! This is a limited edition palette and is only available online at Ulta’s website. Get one while they last!
